Micranthemum umbrosum is an attractive aquarium plant that originates from the USA. The plant is characterized by its small, round leaves, which reach about 0.5 cm in size and shine in a striking light green color. It belongs to the light-demanding plants and should be protected from excessive temperatures. Like the related species Hemianthus micranthemoides, Micranthemum umbrosum can be easily shaped with sharp scissors. This plant is particularly well-suited for nano cubes and presents an interesting option for miniature aquariums that are operated without heating.
