Hygrophila corymbosa (Nomaphila)

Hygrophila corymbosa, also known as Nomaphila, is a commonly found stem plant native to Southeast Asia. It is characterized by various varieties with different leaf shapes. The above-water leaves exhibit a more intense shade of green compared to those submerged. This plant is suitable for the background of an aquarium. Its rapid growth aids in the breakdown of excess nutrients in the water, thereby reducing algae growth. Shoots that reach the water surface should be trimmed to about half their length. A staggered arrangement of the stems is recommended.
