Echinodorus cordifolius

Echinodorus cordifolius is a remarkable aquarium plant with heart-shaped leaves. These plants grow in natural habitats, particularly in wetlands and standing waters. Under cultivated conditions, the plant can reach heights of up to 100 cm and is characterized by large, pronounced leaves. In the aquarium, the growth height may be lower, with regular pruning of the longer stems at the base recommended to promote controlled growth. Lighting should be limited to a maximum of 11 hours per day to prevent excessive height development of the stems.
