Ceratopteris cornuta
Ceratopteris cornuta is a fine fern commonly found in breeding aquariums. Its leaves float on the surface of the water, providing sheltered areas that are particularly attractive to labyrinth fish, which build their bubble nests here. This plant species is especially easy to care for and requires strong lighting and CO2 fertilization to achieve optimal growth and vigorous fronds. Numerous adventitious plants can develop on the underside of the leaves above the water surface, which can be transplanted into the substrate for further propagation.
