Alternanthera reineckii 'Rosanervig'

Alternanthera reineckii 'Rosanervig' is a decorative aquatic plant with intensely pink-colored leaves and striking non-branched veins. This spectacular coloration provides remarkable visual contrasts in freshwater aquariums. The plant reaches a height of 10–30 cm and has a compact growth habit, making it suitable for placement in the middle and foreground. Native to South America, it grows in the wild along riverbanks and in wet areas. Under optimal conditions, 'Rosanervig' requires moderate to strong lighting as well as a nutrient-rich substrate. The addition of CO₂ can support growth and color intensity. Water temperatures between 22–28°C and a pH range of 6.0 to 7.5 are ideal. Regular trimming encourages a bushier growth and prevents the plant from becoming leggy.
