Rotala

Rotala is a colorful and versatile genus of stem plants that is particularly popular in aquascaping . With its delicate leaves and vibrant colors—from bright green to intense red—it adds contrast and dynamism to any aquarium.

Many Rotala species grow quickly and respond well to strong light and the addition of CO₂ . This makes them ideal for medium to demanding layouts. Depending on the variety, they can grow vertically, creeping, or slightly overhanging and are easy to trim.

Typical representatives such as Rotala rotundifolia , Rotala h'ra or Rotala wallichii bring color and lightness to the middle or background of your tank - and are particularly suitable for tiered planting concepts with a depth effect.
